Women's Health Coaching & Postpartum Return to Exercise

Move with confidence through every season of womanhood.

Your body changes throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause—and your movement routine may need to change with it.

At HerPath Occupational Therapy & Wellness, women's health coaching provides personalized support to help you build strength, improve confidence, and return to the activities you enjoy.

Whether you're navigating your postpartum return to exercise, getting back into fitness after a break, or looking for a sustainable approach to movement during menopause, we meet you where you are.

This isn't about “getting your body back.” It's about learning how to feel strong, capable, and confident in the body you have now.

Postpartum Return to Exercise

Returning to exercise after having a baby doesn't have to mean "bouncing back."

Pregnancy, childbirth, sleep deprivation, changes in routine, and the demands of caring for a baby can all affect how you move and exercise. You may know you want to become more active but aren't sure where to start—or how to create a routine that actually fits your life.

Postpartum Return to Exercise Coaching provides individualized guidance as you work toward your personal movement and fitness goals.

Depending on your goals, coaching may support:

  • Getting started with exercise after pregnancy

  • Creating a realistic postpartum movement routine

  • Gradually increasing/progressing strength and endurance

  • Returning to walking, hiking, yoga, Pilates, or other preferred activities

  • Building toward running or higher-impact exercise

  • Returning to recreational sports

  • Developing a sustainable strength-training routine

  • Improving confidence with movement

  • Finding ways to make exercise work with your current schedule and responsibilities

  • Understanding general principles of postpartum exercise progression

Every postpartum journey is different. There is no single timeline or exercise program that works for everyone. Coaching focuses on your goals, current activity level, preferences, and lifestyle.

When Coaching Isn't the Right Service

Women's Health Coaching is designed for individuals who are looking for education, accountability, movement guidance, and wellness support.

Coaching does not diagnose, evaluate, or treat medical conditions or pelvic floor disorders.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as:

  • Urinary or fecal leakage

  • Pelvic heaviness or pressure

  • Pelvic pain

  • Pain with intercourse

  • Significant abdominal or pelvic symptoms

  • Pain that limits your ability to exercise

  • Other new or persistent symptoms

skilled pelvic health therapy may be more appropriate.

If you're unsure which service is right for you, a discovery call can help determine the best starting point.

Women’s Health Coaching

Women’s health coaching can support you through many stages of life—not just postpartum.

Whether you're trying to establish a consistent exercise routine, return to movement after a break, or feel more confident navigating changes in your body, coaching provides individualized support without the pressure of an all-or-nothing approach.

Coaching may focus on:

  • Building a sustainable exercise routine

  • Strength and conditioning goals

  • Improving consistency with movement

  • Returning to activities you enjoy

  • Creating realistic movement habits

  • Developing confidence with exercise

  • General mobility and movement education

  • Preparing for or progressing toward a fitness goal

  • Navigating exercise during different seasons of life

  • Supporting an active lifestyle during menopause and beyond

The goal isn't to follow someone else's perfect routine.

It's to create a movement plan that works for you.

Coaching vs. Skilled Therapy

What’s the difference?

At HerPath, both coaching and skilled therapy are personalized—but they serve different purposes.

Skilled Occupational Therapy / Pelvic Health Therapy

Therapy is appropriate when you have a condition, impairment, or symptoms that require clinical evaluation and skilled intervention. Treatment may include assessment, clinical reasoning, therapeutic interventions, and individualized rehabilitation.

Examples include pelvic pain, urinary or bowel dysfunction, painful intercourse, postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, and other conditions affecting your ability to participate in daily life.

Women’s Health Coaching

Coaching is focused on wellness, education, movement, goal-setting, and behavior change. It is not intended to diagnose or treat a medical condition.

You may choose coaching if you are generally well and want support with:

  • Creating an exercise routine

  • Returning to movement after pregnancy

  • Building strength and endurance

  • Establishing sustainable wellness habits

  • Increasing confidence with exercise

  • Working toward personal fitness goals

  • Staying accountable to your movement goals

Not sure which one you need?

You don't have to figure it out alone.

A free discovery call can help us determine whether coaching or skilled therapy is the more appropriate starting point for your goals.

A Whole-Person Approach to Movement

As an occupational therapist and women’s health professional, I understand that movement doesn't happen in isolation.

Your exercise routine has to fit into your actual life—including your schedule, responsibilities, energy, preferences, and the activities that matter most to you.

Women's Health Coaching takes a practical, individualized approach to helping you create movement habits that are realistic, sustainable, and meaningful to you.

There is no "perfect" postpartum body and no requirement to "bounce back."

The goal is to help you feel capable and confident in the body you have today.

Who Is Women’s Health Coaching For?

This service may be a good fit if you are:

  • Looking for support creating a sustainable exercise routine

  • Returning to exercise after pregnancy or a period of inactivity

  • Interested in rebuilding strength and endurance

  • Preparing to return to running, lifting, or another activity

  • Looking for accountability with your movement goals

  • Navigating changes in exercise during menopause

  • Wanting a more individualized approach to wellness

  • Feeling unsure about where to start with exercise

  • Looking for education and guidance rather than traditional personal training

Your Goals. Your Body. Your Path.

Movement should support your life—not become another source of pressure.

Whether you're finding your way back to exercise after having a baby, working toward a personal fitness goal, or navigating a new season of life, individualized coaching can help you build a plan that feels achievable and sustainable.
